Know the risk factors for Covid-19
- The Covid-19 pandemic has generated a severe impact at the global and local levels. In Europe alone, mortality increased from 4,000 to 100,000 deaths for a month.
According to the studies that have been carried out for the investigation of the disease generated by the coronavirus, it has been found that at least 50% of patients have some other disease. Among the diseases or conditions most commonly associated with complications by Covid-19 are: - Advanced age
- Chronic lung disease
- People with a depressed immune system
- Severe obesity
- Diabetes mellitus
- High blood pressure
- Cardiovascular diseases (acute myocardial infarction, heart failure...)
What to do to prevent complications from Covid-19?
Due to the accumulated evidence about complications in these groups of patients, it is best to reinforce social distancing and care measures to avoid contagion.
It is recommended that diseases have adequate control and do not modify the treatment previously indicated by your doctor.
